In New York, students experience a synthesis of all that makes America; from the history of the Revolutionary War to the pinnacle of culture in the 21st century.

From the Statue of Liberty to Central Park, New York energizes you as you walk the streets that have meant so much to our history. Experience the wonders of the universe at the Rose Museum at the American Museum of Natural History. Or explore the expressions of man’s creativity at the Guggenheim Museum or the Museum of Modern Art. See the entire skyline of New York from the top of one of the wonders of modern construction, the Empire State Building. Recall the contribution of our military to the peace and safety of the world as you hike the decks of the Intrepid, Sea, Air and Space Museum. You can even speak with some of the veterans of past wars who volunteer as docents on the Intrepid and contribute their living history to help us understand what went before.

Of all things, New York City has become a nexus for the most sophisticated expressions of art in the world. The ultimate of this art is the living art of Broadway. Musicals, Plays and symphonies fill your soul with new dreams and music that will propel you into the future. Live theater immerses you in the action of the production. You are a vital part of the experience. Actors and the audience form a single entity and then together produce the event that is your experience.

Students can participate in a clinic with musicians who are part of New York’s famous music culture: The New York Philharmonic, the Julliard School of Music and Broadway musicians. They can go behind the scenes and study theater arts including, makeup, dance, production, acting, singing and stage production. Students can also meet with members of the New York Philharmonic, broadway cast members and various directors and conductions.* Suddenly, something that was merely a dream becomes a real possibility as these professionals steer young minds into the disciplines required to realize those dreams.

Since September 11, 2001, our groups have all spent time at the World Trade Center in silent homage to those who lost their lives in one of the worst world massacres of the current era. While the world still struggles to understand this act, students gain a maturity and an understanding of this reality that transcends words. Returning students and teachers have said that this was the most important part of their sojourn to New York. With hope that they can understand and solve world problems they return to their schools and families with ideas to share.

This trip becomes a foundation for the students’ learning. Participation is about being a part of this nation. Music and Drama clinics with world class artists bring students to new maturities in their arts. Choose your theme and we will prepare a trip for you that epitomizes all you have been teaching. If you have anything special you would like to include, we will research it and include it in your trip.

"People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge waves of the seas,
at the long course of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean,
at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering."
~ St. Augustine
